MCC Hints

Postby florian praxmarer » Mon Jun 08, 2009 7:22 pm

Hi!

I have done several MCC flights with customers and they where quite sucessfull, but some things may have to be considered.

1. Do not try to change controls in flight, Server is flying Client is nonflying. It does no matter who has copilot or captain side, but assure you dont use the same.

2. Client should remove/disconnect all joysticks from the computer. Remove all axis assignemts in FSUIPC if needed.

3. BOTH need to set same W&B for the flight manually so open the Loadeditor and set same things

4. If you have somehow an value or switch which is suddely asynchronous, then
- one press pause
- one press ISOLATE ON in the INTERCON page
- set the switch to the value/position the other has
- both should set and verfy ISOLATE is off

5. Sometimes it happens the strange thing that the client shows 90°heading offset. If that happens
- one press pause
- verfy both are paused
- SERVER disconnectes INTCOM
- SERVER should serve again
- CLIENT should connect again

then it works flawless as before, i try to find how this could happen

6 Shut down all internet applications not needed, as messenger outlook skype etc etc, they all use internet resources causing lags.

7 Try to match following squence for setting up a MCC flight

- Setup the W&B equally for both aircrafts
- Before you start the flight, one should setup the aircraft somewhere at a gate or whatever, set weather (or let the global weather to be set by any addon (ActiveSky or whatever) but do not use the online weather throughout if you have not the same addons) set the fuel and SAVE this situation in the MSFS flights menue. Use the default panel state as much as possible, better not to try the C&D setup initially.

- Send the saved situation to you partner you can find that in

Your personal files\Flight Simulator X Files for FSX
Your personal files\Flight Simulator Files for FS9

send the YourSavedFlight.WX, YourSavedFlight.FLT, YourSavedFlight.FSSAVE (FSX only)

- then load the situation and connect each other and enjoy

regards
