At least Rouven talked about giving us screenshots... Better late than never, I guess.

Too bad that one weak link, the VC developer, can bring down a company.

I never dreamt of anything but I bought something and they promised something so we have a deal and Digital Aviation does not comply to their part of the deal. :whip:

Hi there,

Can somebody from the Fokker team give us an update please. How is the current status of the VC?

Just a few thoughts,

I can imagine that its not possible to answer these questions again and again but let me mention one point here:
The Fokker is the best airliner available for FS9/FSX. From a sales point of view its not very good to hold this information back since we now see
that a lot of our fellow simmers switching to FSX. And as you know a 3D cockpit is essential for FSX.

Iam glad to have this bird anyway. Its a great product and I like to say thank you for your hard work so far.

It would be nice to hear a statement regarding the VC from you guys.

Hi guys,
maybe you already know this screenshots, but I seen it today the first time
http://www.forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?showtopic=33529

But this is now more than one year ago, so my question to Digital Aviation: This VC looks very good, but what you did in the last 16 Months?

The screenshots published only show static rendered objects. It are the dynamic gauges that are the challenge to get right. Plain and simple.
It was already explained by the devs that the creation of the VC is outsourced to another party. Apparently this party made lots of promises and doesn't live up to them.
Now they are in a classic catch 22 situation. Option 1: Break the contract with the VC developer and start all over again with someone else. It is unknown if another developer can do the same, with the same level of quality, within a foreseeable period of time. Option 2: Continu with the VC developer and still it is unknow when it is finished.

A complicating factor in this might be that it's being build voor both FS9 and FSX. It wouldn't surprise me if a large part of the code for one version can not be used for the other.

The only thing one might blame Florian and his crew is bad project management and less than perfect communication.

Just to make clear; yes I hate it just as much as you that we still don't have the VC or even have a clue when to expect it. But I truely believe it's out of their (Florian & crew) hands and we can only wait and hope for the best.

Regards,

Frank

In that 'case scenario' Florian should give us the facts instead of letting this thread go on and on forever.................

Yes we are doing a VC or, No wer'e not.

It's as easy as that.
