Ok.... I can't say I didn't see this coming and from the developers point of view it is probably totally understandeable, but....

I can understand you want this great product out, but given that much of us flightsim-pilots have grown to use the VC as the primairy view during flight, why not wait a bit more to release a full version that includes the VCP?
Don't get me wrong Flo. I'll be amongst the first ones to buy this, the day it gets released, but to be honest, I fear a little bit that releasing it without a VCP a) reduces your potential sales and b) we might never see a FS9 version with a VCP, since if we like it or not, more and more people are switching to FSX (eventhough I know that I will have FS9 as my prime simulator for the next 1 or 2 years).

Can you share with us what timeframe for releasing the VCP we're looking at?

And just so you understand where my major dissapointment is coming from: the screenshots are GREAT! :o :D :P :D :D

yeh those shots look great. are you looking at patching it pretty quickly after release or more like what the md-80 guys did?

this is the plane im waiting for the most. can't wait i know it will be good but I don't ever use 2D and never flew the project fokker for this reason even though the fokker 100/70 is my favorite jet.

judging by those screens it can't be to far from finished (I hope)

thanks for making the fokker and you can be sure i will buy it when the cockpits done :D

And how will it be "upgradable" ? By downloading a new time the whole model I suppose ?
Personnally, I would prefer to wait about 1 month in more and have a VCP on the initial release.

But, business is business...

That's exactly what I mean. If it would take a few more months for the VCP to get finished, I'd rather wait those months and get the "completed" product.

Why ? If the 2D version would be ready and the VC version not yet, then why not let the 2D-Panel users enjoy it already ?

I mean, the 2D version doesn't do any harm to the VC users. You have the choice to buy it already and learn the plane inside/out or just wait until the VC is finished.

Yes, your point of view is understandable. You can also say that we can wait that the VCP will be released to buy the product.

But, I fear that when the initial version (without VCP) will be released, the team will take lots of time to release the VCP (like the MD) due to bugs or other "problems". Moreover, it's strongly possible that the team will work slowest, they are exhausted by now and they are going to take "holydays", to have a break when the initial product will be released, so, they are going to think : "the VCP will wait..."

That's why I don't want to see an initial release without VCP. But I fully understand the team. It's not an easy decision.

Regards,

Valentin

Hi!

First of all nice that you like the shots.

I want to clarify a few things, VCP will come for sure and as we release the 1st version, we will garauantee a fixed date for VCP update. For that reason we need to have VCP on a certain status that make us sure to be able to hold the date.

anyway 2D comes first becuase its well flyable there and why should 2D freaks wait so long for it. I for myself enjoy airliners only in 2D

regards

Hi Florian,

Copy, that's perfect. We are going to fly the jewel earlier and we will have a VCP at a precise date.

Good choice in my mind.

I have no problem with the 2d out first and if your going to fix the release date for the VC thats really cool. your customer service is way above any other company's at the moment.
this will be the best aircraft!
